Lawrence Kotlikoff is a respected author and economist who is also a professor of Economics at Boston University. Thus, when he writes a book, the world starts to wonder what it might be about as his insights on various subjects of economics and finance markets remains unparalleled. His deep knowledge and articulate expression form a combination which produces not just any books but books which make sense.
The Clash of Generations is a book which raises questions on how inconsistent the financial state of the United States is. The leaders are obviously not revealing all the inconsistencies which can lead to a major breakdown but the symptoms are visible to the keen eye of the author, which is what Lawrence Kotlikoff talks about in his book. Co authored by economics expert Scott Burns, the book documents how the current generation is not saving and investing but only taking for their present benefits which will lead to a future where people will face slow growth and a long period of meltdown.
The book, in a very articulate and clear manner, describes how the present generation, unknowingly, is actually taking the resources of the future generations to feed itself. There are many other interesting concepts which the authors discuss in this book filled with knowledge and eye opening information.
