This committee is primarily responsible for overseeing all institutions licensed under the IBC Business Companies Act. These institutions must undergo annual site visits to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, regulations and international standards.
The main functions include:
1. Supervision function, that is, to supervise the business of financial services in Antigua and Barbuda
2. Assistance function, that is, to provide legal assistance to overseas regulatory agencies
3. Consultation function, providing relevant financial consultation for the government.
