The Financial and Consumer Affairs Agency (FCAA) protects consumers and the public interest. We protect Saskatchewan consumers by regulating financial product/service providers in an efficient and balanced manner.
The FCAA plays a vital role in Saskatchewan's economic growth and development. The FCAA's regulatory functions include prudential and market conduct regulation.
Prudential regulation is responsible for the finances of regulators, while market conduct regulation refers to overseeing compliance with consumer protection regulations, including disclosure, confidentiality, fair enforcement and issuing injunctions.
FCAA's mission: Protect consumer interests through licensing, registration, auditing, market surveillance, complaint handling, and enforcement of provincial regulations.
The FCAA consists of 5 divisions:
Department of Consumer Protection, Department of Consumer Credit, Department of Securities, Department of Pension Funds, Department of Insurance and Real Estate.
How to complain
1. It is recommended to complain as soon as possible, and there is a legal deadline for complaints
2. Please describe truthfully when complaining, no false, joking, abusive
3. Please keep the transaction agreement, payment records, negotiation records, etc.
4. If you are not satisfied with the result of negotiation with traders, you can complain to the following institutions:
