The National Bank of the Republic of Macedonia is the Central Bank of Macedonia. According to relevant laws, the responsibilities of the Central Bank of Macedonia include: formulating and implementing monetary policy; monitoring the flow of international payments; formulating and implementing the exchange rate policy of the Macedonian Denar; managing foreign exchange reserves; managing payment systems; licenses, and supervise the business activities of banks and savings institutions; issue instant transfer service licenses in accordance with the law, and supervise the business activities of instant transfer service units; issue business licenses to foreign exchange institutions in accordance with the law and supervise their business activities; issue banknotes and Coins; manage account activity of central government and government agencies.
The Republic of North Macedonia (The Republic of North Macedonia) is a landlocked country located in the southern Balkan Peninsula in southeastern Europe. The currency used is Macedonian Denar, code MKD.
