The main task of the Central Bank of Tunisia is to maintain price stability. In this regard, the Central Bank of Tunisia is mainly responsible for: * supervising monetary policy; * controlling the circulation of money, monitoring the normal functioning of the payment system, ensuring the reliability, effectiveness and safety of the system; * supervising lending institutions; * maintaining the stability and security of the financial system.
The Republic of Tunisia is located at the northernmost tip of the African continent, facing the Mediterranean Sea in the north and east, and facing Sicily in Italy across the Tunisian Strait. The currency used is Tunisian Dinar, code TND.
