The Bank of Uganda, the Central Bank of Uganda, is wholly owned by the Government of Uganda, but is not a government department. While the activities of the Uganda Central Bank are closely linked to the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, the Uganda Central Bank is an independent agency responsible for monetary policy and maintaining price stability.
The Republic of Uganda is a country located in eastern Africa, across the equator, most of the territory is located in the East African plateau, the currency used is Ugandan Shilling (Ugandan Shilling), code UGX.
